Who Cares?

Who cares?

This should be our first question before taking our message, products, brands, services, ideas, and music to the marketplace.

The world is now one big neighborhood and it is easier than ever to find out who cares about what you do.

When you discover who cares, there you will find family. Treat them as such and the music will play.

The Eskimos are done with our ice cream advertising.

The Good News

There is great news this morning.

People that succeed in this life are not people who have mastered many things. Rather, they are people who have been mastered by very few things that are very, very great.

IQ, looks, degrees, financial status, age – none of these have any correlation with success.

We just have to know a few basic, obvious, simple, and unchanging things and be ruined by them.

Which is why new successes are available at the fingertips of every new sunrise.

The challenge is for us to find, hold, and adhere to these things. Treasure hunting, if you will……

EntreSpiritual Thoughts and Convictions While Looking at Outer Space

Calling all stargazers chasing sunsets.

Calling all the lonely gamblers placing petty bets.

Calling all the cold souls dreaming highschool dreams.

Calling all the young and old that have never caught anything.

Could it be that this life means more than you think?

Your dreams aren’t just dreams – but reality.

Our Moods 17 Days Ago

Accountability check….

17 days ago you said you were going to ____________ better, more often, or less in 2012.

How’s that going?

I will be honest – for me, it’s not easy. However, I’ve been using Zig Ziglar’s/Seth Godin’s goal setting booklet and it has helped me tremendously.

Jeff Olson teaches us that “Commitment is doing the thing you said you would do long after the mood you said it in has left you.”

There are 348 sunsets between here and New Year’s Eve. Don’t allow your mood to effect your champagne toast of success between now and then.

Today Matters

With the best record in the ’11-’12 NFL season, the 15-1 Packers were beat by the 9-7 Giants yesterday at Lambeau Field.

Surprised? You shouldn’t be.

Think of your products/services/ideas within the concepts taught in yesterday’s game…

  • So you have the best record thus far? So what?
  • So you’re the wild card? So what?
  • Yesterday’s trophies cant’ catch today’s passes.
  • Yesterday’s losses are not appropriate predictors of today’s outcome….neither are yesterday’s wins.
  • Guts win.
  • Home field advantage is meaningless when you don’t show up.

Our today’s do have a lot to do with our tomorrows, but our yesterday’s don’t have much say today. Frightening, but true.

Today, the whistle has blown and a new game has begun.

So what’s your record? 15-1? 9-7? All that is yesterday talk…meaningless today.

What’s important is today you are undefeated.

The old has gone and the new has come. This is the battle cry of Monday.

Godspeed.
