Capacity

There’s a capacity that must be available if you are looking to make art and there’s a capacity that must be available if you truly long to experience and interact with the art that crosses your path.

Operating at max capacity will always translate into no art making its way out from your hands and no art making its way in through your eyes.

Make room.

In the Beginning…

…there’s innocence.

…there’s a spark.

…there’s curiosity.

…there’s a reason and the reason is for the love.

I hope you turn pro in at least one thing, if not many.

And I hope the amateur and the child in you are forever in bloom.

Leaves

Soon the leaves will start to fall.

They do this every year right about now.

Such a beautiful teacher draped in maroon-orange tempo.

May you engage, listen, and learn from them as they spiral waltz with gravity.

Only when the old goes can we find the new leaves that make the new oxygen that allow the new breath.
