I began reading a book yesterday called The Start-up of You.
The author quoted someone that said start-ups must be better, faster, only, or cheaper than the other guys.
Where can you be better, faster, only, or cheaper?
If you can answer that you should start something.
A sale occurs when perceived value exceeds cost.
Coaches: Players buy in when they realize the championship is worth the cost of practice.
Teachers: Students buy in when they see their future success is worth the time studying.
Not getting buy in? It’s probably because the cost is blinding your client, student, or players from seeing the value.
Reverse that: blind them with value and cost will leave their perception.
Your opportunities will be capitalized by how well you recollect where you’ve been and what you’ve previously seen.
Business is a daily pop quiz and the good news is you can use your notes.
Any leader that keeps his thumb on these three will not lack in followers.
Thus we have daily questions to address these concerns.
How are the people?
Are we making music or banging cymbals?
Is this place alive?
