Waking Up In a Hotel

Discovery is the predecessor of experience, fulfillment, and meaning.

How else can you write new music without seeing a moment or something in a new way?

I don’t think you can.

I thought about this as I woke up in a hotel to speak on LTMP at a conference this morning.

While there’s no place like home, I hope you’ll leave your home each day as if you were traveling.

We point out things, smell the roses more often, and pursue discovery when we are out of our routines.

Our Muse is The Great Concierge and knows all the discoveries to get you to the experience, fulfillment, and meaning your after.

Looking for something to do? Have you asked The Concierge?

If You Know You – You Won’t Need A Map

Why do we tell ourselves what we aren’t more than we tell ourselves what we are?

While the soul itself doesn’t need a reminder, it is a healthy thing to remind the soul bearer of that which the soul already knows to be true.

We all could use more purpose and meaning reminders.

When you know who you are you then know where you’re going…and when you know where you’re going, eventually you get there.

Knowing thy self is the best thing since Google Maps to get you where you want to go.

I Made This For You

Is there any introduction to a gift being given that packs more punch than the words I made this for you?

The gospel of the new economy is twofold: you get what you give and you are what you share.

So now, you, the leader must see his products, services, and ideas as gifts.

No doubt the world would be a better place if we all saw everyday as Christmas.

Extraordinary Is…

…is about less not more.

…is about narrowed focus.

…smaller than you think.

How small are you willing to go?

The smaller your world is – the bigger your life will be.

Big music starts in small moments.

Interchangeable

What if we saw art as discipline and discipline as an art?

At our core, we all want to leave behind something artistic – something beautiful – something that means something.

If this is true, and I believe it to be so, then we must leave a trail of discipline.

When you say art think of discipline. When you say discipline think of art.

Now that we see these words as interchangeable, something special opens up and blooms.

Seeing art as discipline let’s the cat out of the bag. We know work is going to be required. So we expect it. We request it. We find joy in the work.

Seeing discipline as art gives beauty room to breathe in the tough and callusing moments of the work. Now the work is a metaphor. Now we’re exposing something that’s universal. Now this all means something.
