…it’s probably time to try subtraction.
If it’s not adding up…
…it’s probably time to try subtraction.
Maya Angelou would have turned 88 today.
Many of her words often, still, speak to me.
Here’s some of them I have cherished the most.
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”
“There’s nothing quite so tragic as a young cynic, because it means the person has gone from knowing nothing to believing nothing.”
“Life loves the liver of it.”
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”
My readings this year have renewed my passion for seeing the unseen, finding out what has made the difference in people’s lives, and discovering more and more ways to make the music of our lives.
In case, you’re new here…this is what I’m after…http://ashtongustafson.com/ltmp
And I’m still going.
Hopefully you are too.
PS – LTMP Podcast has been such a joy. We’d love for you to join us.
It is going to take longer than you expected it would take.
It won’t happen on its own.
It will change a lot over time…and it won’t be what you originally thought it was going to be.
But it will be worth it…
As long as you stick with it.
When you finally find yourself and start to live out and through this integrity you will have just found your niche.
This should settle some of the confusion around the topic of choosing one’s vocation.
