Your Big Break

When you finally know what you want you will find yourself on the brink of your big break.

When you know you know what you want you find ways to get it.

When you know what you want Divinity starts clearing a path.

Unfortunately, we’re bombarded with thousands of messages everyday telling us what we should want. Resistance gets its fix on a confused population.

Have you asked yourself lately what you want? Hint: It’s probably more of an outcome your after than it is money, looks, a person, or a thing. And as time evolves, the wants change.

Your big break is just around the corner. When you get around the corner there will be turbulence, frustration, and resistance. Stay the course, dodge the bombarding noise, and find your music.

Cut, Lead. Cut, Lead. Cut, Lead.

Want to be the efficiency leader, be the cutting wasted time leader. The proverbial smoke break has swapped places with social media. Think about it.

Want to be the customer service leader, then lead your current customers and cut out chasing the customer that will never be yours. You current customers will be mainly responsible for your new customers in the years ahead anyway.

Want to be the profit leader, be the cost cutting leader. Do more with less.

More of something is always available when less something is around or being attended to.

Leadership and Fruit Judgement

Love,  joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Sound familiar?

These are the fruits, or lack thereof, where one’s leadership will be judged and attested to.

Leaders – check your nourishment (exposure to new ideas, exposure to old ideas, mentorship, reading, etc) to your roots. They will greatly affect your fruit production.

Collectively, these fruits create music that any follower would dance to and provide the music leader with great fulfillment.

A Success Formula

Pause.

Look deep into the mirror, a sunset, and/or your soul and find out who you are.

Again, this takes pause – and we’re not so hot at pausing in world in that operates in fast forward.

Once you’ve got who you are figured out then go serve somebody.

Knowing who you are will have 99% to do with what success looks like for yourself.

Dorm Idea, Connectedness, Growth, 900,000,000 Users, IPO, Hype, & A Crystal Ball

Now that Facebook has reconnected all of us, the challenge ahead for the company is more connecting the corners of the world while becoming profitable.

Remember, the dorm room idea had nothing to with profitability – just connectedness.

No other company, other than Twitter (today), is better positioned to create more connectedness.

We need more connectedness to ideas, solutions, great (emphasis on great) products, news, etc. If Facebook can do this, $30/share will be a steal.

At 900,000,000 million users, it is safe to assume that a billion users is just around the corner. There must be a dollar to two to be made in this pool. Would you give 100 pennies a year to have access to this pool??????

Like we discussed a few days ago, the future belongs to the companies that give. This includes those that will market their products and service on Facebook. Marketing in this platform will work for the companies that listen to the conversation instead of screaming and interrupting the user’s current conversations.

Is it possible that one day you will have to log into Facebook to watch the Today Show, Gray’s Anatomy, or whatever the fad of the day is? I think so.

No one has the crystal ball, but one day I feel you will hear/see something like this: “Reporting from Palo Alto, I’m Tom Brokaw – Facebook Inc.”
