Wouldn’t it be great to not always have to understand everything, everyone, and every moment?
Wouldn’t a surrender to the need to always have everything under your control and within your cognitive grasp actually lead you to rest?
Widom across all traditions has suggested that there is a place and a posture on the other side of such understanding.
This is a place called Peace.
And Peace it is the capital of Freedom.
And both are found in the land of Rest.
Make a list of things, beliefs, circumstances, or scenarios that you are currently tolerating.
Maybe it’s 10 things.
Maybe it’s 100 things.
Take your time…get creative…pause to hear ..really look in every nook and cranny of your life.
Now look at this list.
Is this list serving you?
Is this list enlarging you?
Is this list freeing you?
It’s time to cross things off the list.
…critique?
…condemnation?
…labeling?
…measuring?
or
…categorizing?
If so, you’ve found your ticket(s) to freedom.
