Building Your Immunities

To conquer fear you must take it on fight, after fight, after fight. Don’t allow it go viral in or around you. Daily wash your hands of it and slowly it will lose its effect on you.

When adversity hits, take it on full speed. Power through. Remember it’s typically a sign from the Muse you’re on the RIGHT path. Preparation is penicillin to adversity.

Careful with ‘yes’. ‘Yes’ to an hour in your inbox leads to and hour on YouTube. 120 minutes gone all because you said ‘yes’. Awareness is the Z-Pak to the ‘Yes’ Virus.

These are costly viruses with one goal: attacking your creativity. And you have no insurance or deductible to meet that will protect you from them.

If You’re Bored

If you’re bored it is probably due to a lack of opportunity to be creative or an overdose of routine in your life.

But I think to see today as a lack of opportunity and as routine is a choice.

Today can be new. Today can be different from yesterday…much different. But you have to choose “different.”

Today when you hold your pen, cell phone, mouse, notepad, and iPad think of them as paintbrushes and microphones.

See that? You just moved from worker/employee to artist/musician. Huge shift. Now there’s an abundance of opportunity and routine is gone.

If you see your job/role/career as a way to express yourself you can probably find some passion – which is typically the missing link on your road to fulfillment.

Economy of the soul lesson: As passion decreases, boredom increases.

Cheers.

Adversity

No one told us in college that adversity was going to happen.

Yet, everyone that we look to that has done something to change the world had to overcome adversity at some point.

Typically, when adversity strikes, the easy thing to do is fold the cards in disbelief of how something went down, how we were treated, or claim “the game” is not fair.

We’ve been sold the following: study, pass, build resume, interview, get the job, climb the ladder, and retire. Academia just can’t fit adversity between study and retirement.

What if we bought into adversity? What if we accepted it, called it out. and obsessed daily on getting to the other side of it.

The other side of adversity is where you’re fulfillment lies…hard to swallow, I know, but please power through.
