We Get There and Then We Can See Further….

When we arrive at what we saw we can always see further.

I have to think that even atop the mountains we climb, something pulls at us to go climb their neighbor.

Praise be that we don’t have finish lines.

We have journeys that birth journeys and the words etched on the gold found at the end of our rainbows read ‘see. there’s more.’

The Benefit of the Doubt

When you fundamentally give someone a new way to look at their world, their purchasing, their behavior, or their thinking, you’ve then just led them somewhere….and that’s what we all deep down want with every new connection.

We all hope to meet Christopher Columbus. And we want to go somewhere new on La Pinta.

There’s a benefit in the doubts others have about your ideas, products, and services. But you’ve got to look at it backwards to find the benefit.

When you can get your ________ to benefit them – there’s no doubt it’s going to come full circle and find a way to benefit you as well.

I’m almost certain Columbus’ words when he hit the shore of the Americas was not ‘wow’…rather, I envision him turning to his comrades and asking – “now do you believe me?”

We need to find more doubters of our music and turn them into dancers.

Bravery be with us.

If You Know You – You Won’t Need A Map

Why do we tell ourselves what we aren’t more than we tell ourselves what we are?

While the soul itself doesn’t need a reminder, it is a healthy thing to remind the soul bearer of that which the soul already knows to be true.

We all could use more purpose and meaning reminders.

When you know who you are you then know where you’re going…and when you know where you’re going, eventually you get there.

Knowing thy self is the best thing since Google Maps to get you where you want to go.

I Made This For You

Is there any introduction to a gift being given that packs more punch than the words I made this for you?

The gospel of the new economy is twofold: you get what you give and you are what you share.

So now, you, the leader must see his products, services, and ideas as gifts.

No doubt the world would be a better place if we all saw everyday as Christmas.

This Is Dating We’re Talking About and the Incumbent Thinks He’s Married

The biz/customer relationship is a constant dating cycle with sporadic and one-and-done ‘I do’s’.

The is a hard truth, though, for the business owner that feels his product or service is superior to his customer’s needs. Reality check – they will go elsewhere if the dating goes bad.

If you’re looking to start something, go into a market where the incumbent is convinced he’s married to his clientele. Remember, business is like dating and rarely a marriage. Find an incumbent who has become lazy in his dating.

I’m convinced the one who cares – really cares – and shows it by word and deed is the one most likely to get the girl, the vote, or the business. Empathy begets loyalty.

It’s crazy what happens when someone is told they’re pretty, smart, and worth it from a stranger. And even crazier when the stranger shows up tomorrow, again, with flowers and something nice to say.

Business is a romantic way to say ‘this is not about me.’
