Another > Other

The dualistic mind loves to divide, separate, label, and categorize everything and everyone. It’s a constant tug of war between good/bad, up/down, left/right, in/out, win/lose, & us/them. As long as ‘other’ is in dialogue, the dualistic mind is at peace. Or so it thinks.

However, the soul only knows things in their entirety, embraces beauty as a whole, and is most at home in states of harmony and communion. Somehow it knows there’s a oneness with fire and rain, winter and spring, noise and music, and even with the separation of individual solitudes.

What if we all weren’t something ‘other’ to be labeled, but we each were ‘another’ form of love?

What if that were true?

What if that was a question you asked often?

Surely, we would enjoy more than we would critique, we would engage more than we would isolate, and we would rest in our individual and unique beings more than we would boast about our momentary doings.

So today…

As you jog by the stranger…see them as another form.

As you hold the door for one with their hands full…enjoy them as another form.

As you are waited on…learn from another form.

As you are cut off in traffic…forgive another form.

As you are misunderstood….love another, misunderstood, form.

And as you do what you do from the depth of who you are be another form of the great Love that is the engine to our universe.

Search Bars

The search bar on your computer will most likely offer you billions of answers as you search.

You want answers? Good news is they’ve never been easier to find.

Then there’s the search bar in your soul. Unlike the billion answers offered at your fingertips above, this space will most likely yield a handful of beautiful questions from your questions as you explore its space.

We get our answers, but all too often we forget to explore the questions that are the sap oozing through our beings. Nevertheless, I’m quite certain, they don’t forget us.

If you’re bored, I would bet that you’ve got all your answers.

What explanation doesn’t do…

Think of the places where you’re currently operating in and out of awe and there will be the places you’re most likely in some state of love.

Now think of the places where you can justify, explain, and rationalize things. Chances are that is where you can most likely be offended, quick to defend, and dualistic in your thinking.

Eugene Ionesco said it better than I ever could…”Explanation separates us from astonishment, which is the only gateway to the incomprehensible.”

In the end, wonder has always better been a better friend to beauty than certitude ever has.

Organic

The heartbeat of the organic movement isn’t a new trendy idea.

The heart beat is just that…a move back to the heart of the matter and back to the beat that made the music possible in the first place. In other words, it’s a waltz back to our origins.

The proverbial cat is out of the bag and there’s only one party to blame – tampering.

So when it comes to all things: people, relationships, businesses, and, yes, even our foods, we are finding it’s best to let things happen as they may.

We shouldn’t be shocked that wheat without fertilizer taste better. But for some reason, we’ll trade flavor for more in most spaces.

And we shouldn’t be surprised when our relationships bloom with more color and aroma in native, natural soil with wind rain rather than moment to moment ‘miracle-gro’ at mentions and retweets.

Alas, “can we be friends?” may just be the only business model necessary in a world currently powered by spampaigns.

Have you ever noticed what the first two letters of best spells?
