Branding

Chaplin.

Sinatra.

Crosby.

Picasso.

Timberlake.

Jobs.

Gates.

Buffet.

Bloomberg.

Wynn.

Now let’s leave fame, because the brand is there long before any name recognition is realized.

Dad.

Mom.

Friend.

And what about you?

Branding is about ora…it’s about what lingers even when you’re not present. Branding is what is held in the reflection of one’s memory.

If it’s not on your resume, consider it branding. Because you can’t do branding. You simply live in a way that gives out an energy, taste, vibe, or experience that in the end is the brand.

Day in build, polish, mold, test, and discover what it means to be you and develop your brand. Day out, repeat.

It’s work to stand for something worth remarking on.

Let it be.

I’m looking to buy a noun.

It happens sporadically throughout our days. We make a food purchase here, a hotel purchase there, and purchase an insurance policy every so often. All these places, things, ideas, and even people, we buy in the blink of an eye. But there’s a lot more going on in the blink that we typically give credit to.

This is a conversation about one’s preference.

So if you’re looking to be the preferred choice, are you an easy ‘no’ or an appealing ‘yes’?

Sales 101: You gain appeal with questions, not statements.

Enter Today

It’s not yesterday. And it’s not tomorrow.

There are some handshakes approaching today. Be there. Be there with them. Lock hands, lock eyes.

There’s a hug you’re to give you in your story today. Give it well. Leave the recipient better than you found them.

Discover something new. Smile in reflection of the newness now known.

Tend your metaphorical gardens of life, relationships, and business. Till the field. Sow some seeds. Pray for rain. Harvest if something’s ripe.

Turn a stranger into a friend.

Breathe.

Laugh. Laugh hard.

See what the sun is touching. See all of it. There’s enough light to not just look, but also see.

And stop and listen to today.

Be still and quiet enough so that you may hear what today is trying to relay your way.

It’s alive. It’s with us. It’s here. It’s now.

Will you join all of the music that is unfolding around you today?

Music is 1% possibility and 99% participation.

Say yes.

Bias

It’s much easier to choose the status quo when you have a bias for inattention.

Eating and drinking habits change dramatically when you have a bias for a healthy tomorrow over a tasty today.

Wealth builds with a bias for saving in-lieu of spending.

You tap the breaks for arguing with a bias for peace over pride.

A bias for possibility accelerates serendipity.

Here’s the catch…

In the end, the noise can and will be acceptable by most. But rest assured you will love the music: a life powered by tempo, melody, harmony, and meaning. Maybe I’m biased?

Where are you leaning?

You: The Maker of Aha’s

Where can you build a bridge?

Who needs some dots to be connected?

How can you enlighten us?

These are simple questions with massive implications, should you choose to answer them, for you and your story.

Today, may you move people, things, and ideas to weld them full circle with a fastened sense of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.

Somewhere in your definition of vocation I hope you see the word ‘middleman.’

Be the bridge. Connect. Let your light shine.
