There’s probably no other art – yes, art – more significant today to your awareness and liveliness than the art of being still. Silence screams and so we tend to avoid it. I encourage you to lean in.
And there’s nothing harder to overcome than the paralysis of overthinking and over-worrying that keeps us from moving towards our truest selves and highest calling.
Here’s the catch…
Before you move, be still. And when you’re still, dwell on what moves you.

Our conversation in Episode 16 primarily revolves around both the need and the challenge of cultivating silence, stillness, and solitude into our modern lives.
isn’t easily angered, judging, or fearful. It’s actually quite giddy….
It simply wonders how to widen the horizon of hope, deepen the ocean of possibility, and – truly – make the world a better place either by service, idea, or metaphor.
Have you ever noticed the words that hide in our words?
Quest…..Questions.
Experience…..Experiment.
Joy….Enjoy.
Light…..Delight.
This should tell us something about the worlds hiding in our world and just how synonymous curiosity is with life itself.
It has happened so fast and most of us haven’t noticed the trend. The concept of beautiful has become synonymous with glamor.
And they’re not the same.
This understanding and perspective is failing us.
We have bigger homes with smaller hearts.
We have faster, fancier cars accompanied with even faster breathing.
And we’ve chosen consumption over care for ourselves and our neighbors.
A vote won’t change this. Your next tweet won’t either.
But you can.
You can make the choice to step off the tireless hamster wheel, get out of the glamourous rat race, and waltz with your humanity back into what’s truly beautiful.
Before you start unwrapping on Friday, let’s remember to not get our words mixed up.
Praying this week that you find a way in your world to experience that new, old, kind of beautiful.
