Intention.

Simple question, really – What are your intentions today?

What call(s) must be made?

What line item must be removed/added?

What deal must get done?

What idea must have its corporate docs drawn up?

What chapter must be finished?

What discussion must happen?

What song needs to be written?

Soon it will be Friday.

Soon it will be December 31.

Soon it will be January 1.

Soon it will be April 15.

Soon it will be a new market.

Soon it will be time for you to retire.

And soon your tomorrow’s will reflect the intentions of your today’s.

Intention is the birthplace of all great legacies, great moments, and great stories.

Happy Monday. #LTMP

Dreams to paper to pockets to realization. 2 Daily Actions That Have Changed My Life.

75 days ago my life changed.

I wrote down my Definite Chief Aim as Napoleon Hill encourages us to do.

Meaningful Specific > Wandering Generality.

I now read this allowed twice a day and carry it with me wherever I go.

I also met a guy named Grant Cardone who encouraged me to write out my goals and dreams twice a day at morning and night. It should be noted he encouraged me to write them in the present – as if they had already happened. This is action is full of power.

In the last 75 days I’ve seen more focus, more productivity, more fulfillment than I ever thought possible. Across all lines – family, life, business – everything has become richer and grown deeper roots.

When the dream leaves your mind and hits the paper it becomes physical. You no longer have to picture it – you can actually see it.

Now I’m finally getting clarity on where this train is headed.

I hope these steps can help you in the same way.

Godspeed in your music making.

Same Old, Same Old

Keep running the same play and see if that wins the game for you.

Keep making the same calls and see where that gets you.

Keep thinking the same thoughts and see where that takes you.

Keep watching those same reruns and report back.

Keep saying we’re in the same recession we were in 4  years ago.

Keep ordering the same super-sized fries.

Keep doing what you’ve been doing and you’ll get to keep getting what you’ve been getting. I think you want more than that.

If I have any regret at this point in my life, it’s that I haven’t taken more and greater action towards bigger and greater dreams.

Try this mantra on: How different today can I think, act, and speak in order to create the tomorrow I’ve always envisioned?

Changed World > Same Old, Same Old

Questions to Keep Us Astray From Normal

What about art?

What about leaving this place better than you found it?

What about you changing the world?

What about “why”?

What about creating a movement?

What’s love got to do with it?

What about changing your industry standard?

What would the costumer feel about this?

What about redefining your roles(s)?

What about the potential music in all this noise?

We’ve got to adopt a pet peeve for all things normal.

Either Or

Successful people don’t live within “either or” mentalities.

You’ll never hear them say I’m either going to sleep in or get up early. They get up early.

You’ll never hear them say I’m either going to create something big or play the lottery. They create something big.

You’ll never hear them say I’m either going to make the call or disregard the call. They make the call.

If you’re not seeing success in a specific area of  your life – chances are you’ve allowed “either or” to creep in.

And, unfortunately, when we choose “or” the majority of the time it’s the path of least resistance – which never leads to success.

Don’t tempt yourself with options and a Plan B.

You were made only for plan A and not any other form of “either or.”
