Yes & No (Part 2)

If you want to be a cynic, there’s plenty to be cynical about.

If you want to be skeptic, there’s plenty to be skeptical about.

And then there’s beauty, joy, hope, and even life itself, that is asking for your ‘yes’ as well.

May we choose our ‘yes’s’ and ‘no’s’ well and wisely. We only have so many we can fit into our days and they can never be outsourced.

Here’s part 1.

Building Walls or Finding Doors?

The same walls we build to keep us from guilt and shame are the same walls that can be a barrier to our hope and joy.

Have you ever wondered what’s in the next room of your life? Are you looking for the next pivotal dot to connect to the one’s you’ve already gathered? Could there be just one final number you need to crack a code?

If so, it’s going to take a door to find these answers. Most likely these answers are on the other side of the walls you’re surrounded with now.

Hint: Strangers, books, solitude, travel, and sunsets tend to hold the keys both the doors we find and those that find us.

The Comfort that Mutes Our Surroundings

Get just enough to be comfortable and you just may be blinded by what else there is or what else could be.

A life filled with trinkets will never fully energize a life designed to be powered with the treasures of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.

Wherever you’re headed, it’s rarely a sprint. Unfortunately, it’s a surprise to most when they get where they didn’t know they were going.

Where is the quiet drift taking you?

O Me! O life!

O Me! O Life!
By Walt Whitman
Oh me! Oh life! of the questions of these recurring,
Of the endless trains of the faithless, of cities fill’d with the foolish,
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light, of the objects mean, of the struggle ever renew’d,
Of the poor results of all, of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me,
Of the empty and useless years of the rest, with the rest me intertwined,
The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?
                                       Answer.
That you are here—that life exists and identity,
That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.

Seek and You Shall…

…find.

Not wander. Not stumble upon. The ancient scripture simply states you will find.

Let us be people of great questions, and in doing so, become even better seekers for what we are all truly after.

You may just be your own best form of Google.
