November, December. Gratitude to Joy.

Over the weekend I started a 61 day journey through November and December with real-time reflections on the beauty that is held in these two months.

I would love to have you join me on Instagram by clicking here.

PS – Let The Music Play Blog turned four years old today. If you’re still here, this party is just getting started.

Happy birthday, LTMP. You are not mine, but I am yours.

Old Books

Ask someone ahead of you in years what they have read in their lifetime that changed them for the better.

You’ll find out a couple of things in the book(s) they share…

  1. If they’re saying that it has stuck with them then time has tested it to be true. Sticky words are good words that always linger around those who’ve had an encounter with them.
  2. Whatever they recommend, they’re looking to save you from something, align your interior world, or to take you somewhere beautiful. Thank them in advance for the bridge, the keys, or the door they have shared with you.

Unnamed poem read and written by Ashton Gustafson

Sometimes it takes a billion stars to get the point across.

They shine the way, call our names, and beg us to come on.

There will be uncertainty on the way to Eternity.

But I believe that up His sleeve Divinity holds beauty.

Sometimes our songs can right our wrongs and say what words can’t say.

When our melodies make jubilee that’s the story of our days.

There will be uncertainty on the way to Eternity.

But when poetry lacks symmetry that’s where you’ll find its beauty.

Sometime it takes a billion storms for God to fill the seas.

Could the same be true for the me and you we call Humanity?

There will be uncertainty on the way to Eternity.

But I believe that up His sleeve Divinity holds beauty.

Out there and in here…

When you decide how you will be, you will then have chosen how you will see.

The heart that beats to love, joy and peace finds itself powering the feet and hands of connection, care, and trust.

If all you’re seeing is a war with your eyes, it’s likely that there’s one happening in your chest.

Who knew that when you have nothing to attack on the outside chances are there’s nothing for you to defend on the inside? And that, my friends, is called freedom.

Your Fruit > Your Weapons.
