They don’t get a lot of press…

Thank you.

I’m sorry.

Let me get that door for you.

I made this for you.

You were awesome.

That made me cry (in a good way).

That allowed me to breathe.
——————————————————————————–

That doesn’t change the fact that they are what cause us to press on.

Name the last time you forgot a complement or regretted serving without an agenda. It’s hard to, right?

Moment makers sleep really well.

Questions

As long as you have questions, you’ll be on the path of fulfillment. Questions keep us child-like.

The more I’m with my children the more I’m enthralled and longing to be recruited into their classes they are unknowingly teaching. “Why?”, “Can I color?”, and “Where’s the rainbow?” are the questions they’re wrestling with now.

If we are honest, we’re still asking the same questions as well.

May we never lose the courage to ask.

Proximity

One’s writing reflects one’s reading.

Opinions will align with those nearby.

What the person next to you points out, you’ll see.

Mark Twain said it best, “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme.”

And so do we with our geographical metaphors.

Check your surroundings.

Sparks Fly

The minute or moment you move into action with your music, sparks start to fly.

And it’s the sparks that we are after.

How else can you start the fire, right?

If you’re wondering where the flame is, perhaps you need to be asking why is this thing (life, business, relationships) not sparking.

And if it’s not sparking, could it be you just simply haven’t taken the responsibility, duty, and obligation of hitting the play button for your music?

Music is intentional. It’s not an accident.

The Soil & The Gardener = The Garden

Making notes tonight in preparation for a message I get to share in the transitioning colors of Vermont next week.

Here are some….

This life finds us hovering above the soil that holds the potential for gardens of growth, lessons learned, attention to detail, awareness, and appreciation of beauty. For some reason I can’t rid my thoughts of the law of the harvest and the law of compensation these days.

You can’t separate the soil and gardener from of the garden itself. Without each other, the garden doesn’t exist.

How does your garden grow and grow well? It begins with a gardener that is fully present and fully aware of his responsibility and duty to be gardening in the first place.

Weeds are synonymous with noise and SPAM.

Beauty is produced. Beauty is bloomed. Beauty bursts through the dirt after a seed is sown.

To be in continued…
