The easy thing to do is to look around at those nearby to get a sense of what you should be doing. And if you’re lucky (or maybe not so lucky) they’ll even share with you why you should be doing what they’re doing or suggesting.
You don’t want their why. And their what will never be yours.
And then there is the difficult work that is actually coming to grips with what you want. Those moments we look to the stars, then consult the mirror, and then confirm with Destiny that these are the dots we are to be connecting. Herein lies the hardest work, conversation, and commitment we’ll ever face.
But it’s worth it.
You are worth it.
This is worth it.
AKA. be. do. have.
AKA. Begin with the end in mind.
AKA. Surprise, there are no surprises.
Sometimes we need to pause the music to get the music.
Talents.
Ideas.
Money.
Data.
Emotion.
Relationships.
Proximity.
Whimsy.
Belief(s).
Disbelief.
Experience.
Capacity.
Story.
Google.
And so on.
So what’s the good news here?
It’s not all on you.
Remember that first day you arrived to work? That day you shot out of bed, saw the world in possibilities, and tuned your heart a frequency of service?
For those that are married, what about your wedding day? That ‘I do’ that day was a promise of ‘yes’.
And for those of us with children, go to the delivery room. Nothing but ‘yes’ happens there.
We constantly must get back to the original day we said ‘yes’.
What you originally wanted hasn’t changed.
When most frustration arrives, you’ve probably allowed yourself to leave the state (or lose sight of) when you made your first commitment to ‘yes’. What has changed is how you see/perceive what you currently have.
There isn’t a better place to look at the finish line than going back to and getting into the state you were in at the starting line.
Monday. ‘Yes’ day.
…gratitude.
And it’s like the sun.
If you gaze into it long enough, it’s image will burn it’s glow into everywhere else you look.
Gratitude seizes ordained opportunity, silences pessimism, and illuminates the intrinsic beauty that is so easily be overlooked.
Here’s the catch: you don’t want to miss this.
