Eyes. Wide. Awake.

The more you dig into the universe the more you begin to to notice its’ harmony, cadence, and eternal tone. And when you start to see the lines and know the dots of reality that is when the music in-between the two becomes more and more electric.

Think of the last stranger you crossed paths with that left you better than when you found them. Most likely, they were awake – present – or connected with some idea, action, or insight into reality that you never knew of or never had a proper introduction with.

No matter the season you find yourself in, an awake soul is always a refreshing encounter. They move us to melt the joy frozen in winter, bloom a better bloom in the spring, surf the summer shores, and the soak in the re-energy of autumn as it is intended.

3 Things:

1) If we’re going to be strangers to approximately 7.3 billion people, let’s at least be ones that glow.

2) The awake conversation always starts in the eyes. Show me the direction of your eyes and I’ll show you the direction of your life.

3) “Therefore we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen…”

Again and Again

Fruition and fulfillment is always realized after a series, a season, and often a lifetime of ‘again and again’.

You don’t want to know how many range balls Speith has slapped. Most likely it’s more than 99.9999% of the Earth’s population.

And it’s a safe bet that he’s not even passed the honeymoon in his marriage to the driving range.

Mastery is always preceded by the small and unnoticed ‘again and again’.

Wherever this finds you, don’t stop now.

With or Without Metaphor(s)

You can live without them. Most do.

And there’s the choice to live with them. But this choice has it’s choices too.

You can choose to experience the world as a battlefield or as a poem.

You can see your days as a pass or fail test or a painting.

In the end, we need you to choose to live with metaphor(s) and then we need you to choose subtitles with possibility over pessimism.

The Choice

Will you chase or will you attract?

This is a giant question for us and the choices here could not be more different.

Think of the implications here for all things in our lives, relationships, and businesses.

The chase will always leave you out of breath, tired, and panting. Even if you catch it, whatever it is will probably have to be juggled and, unfortunately, dropped.

And then there’s attraction which leads to a waltz and something (a human, an experience, or a moment) you can hold.

So what’s it going to be? The dance or the rat race?

Your call.

Put it down, flip it, and reverse it.

Contribution is the new consumption.

This backwards reality is the opposite of what we’ve been taught, and yet the leaders of tomorrow – in any field – are starting to understand and see this as the way.

Once you’ve poured something out only then will you have made room to soak something in.

Yes, to get it right, we’re going to have to get it backwards.
